                             Monthly Highlights

MAY 2010
Due to the protesting, riots, bombs, fires, etc., this month
ministry activities had to be curtailed.  There were times when
we were not allowed to leave our apartment due to curfews
and shootings/bombings very close to our home.  We are
thankful things have calmed down and no church members
hurt or church property damaged.

April 2010
English classes taught by Sis. Simmons continue.  Some of
her students continue to attend church services although as
yet none have been converted.  We know it will happen.

Monthly Bangkok leadership training session and prayer
meeting held at YinJit church.

Easter home fellowship outreach held at our home. There
were approximately 25 in attendance.  Games, food, gifts and
a short Easter message by one of our pastors.

Thai Youth Conference held in Chaiyaphum.  Approximately
250 attendance.  Brother Gary Pierson was this year's special
speaker.  He did a tremendous job connecting with and
ministering to the Thai youth.  We praise the Lord for
twenty-one filled with the Holy Ghost.

March 2010
English classes taught by Sister Simmons continue.  Another
one of Mary's English students, along with her brother,
attended church.

Met with Bangkok pastors and leaders for planning session
regarding the Florida Youth on Missions group coming in
June.

Taught three day leadership training seminar (Wednesday -
Friday) for Phnom Penh area pastors and church leaders in
Cambodia.  Preached revival service on Sunday in Pastor
Sarun's church, Phnom Penh.  Sixteen baptized in Jesus'
name and five received the Holy Ghost.

Mary was the special speaker at one year anniversary service
at Filipino Suhkumvit church in Bangkok.  Approximately
sixty attended, many visitors from the Asian Institute of
Technology and from the Thai Suhkumvit church.

February 2010
The annual Thai Conference was well attended this year with
over six hundred people coming to worship the Lord and to
hear the preaching and teaching of the USA Team, the Thai
ministry and the missionaries.  "Thank You" Brother & Sister
Jack Cunningham and Brother & Sister Gary Pierson for
organizing the Team's trip this year even though you were
unable to attend yourselves.  Brother Arnold Mangus and
Brother David Smith did a great job heading up the Team this
year.  Everyone's preaching and teaching was a blessing to
all who attended.  Approximately one hundred and sixty
people testified to having been healed at the conference and
more than one hundred and eighty witnessed to having
received the Holy Ghost!  See slideshow on Multi-media page.

Brother Bunthean Nhothsiri, his wife Jasmine, and their sons
Jeremiah & Nathaniel were able to come for the Thai
Conference this year.  Brother Nhothsiri pastors The Asian
Church in Nashville, Tennessee.  Brother Nhothsiri preached
at the conference and also interpreted for a number of other
ministers also preaching at the conference.  He has been
coming to Thailand for many years preaching, interpreting
and ministering.  He has been a tremendous blessing to
Thailand.  After the conference Brother Nhothsiri stayed in
Thailand and preached in two of the Thai churches.  Nine
people were filled with the Holy Ghost.

We are so thankful for what the Lord is doing in Thailand.
People receiving the Holy Ghost in churches and homes
throughout the year, new churches opening, hundreds of
visitors coming to church, revival!

January 2010
Multiple English classes taught by Sister Simmons continue.

Attended Thai Board meeting here in Bangkok.  Excellent
spirit of cooperation and unity at this meeting.  Monthly
leadership training meetings for Bangkok pastors and their
leaders continue.

Thanking God for those that were baptized this month in
Bangkok churches.

December 2009
We received our one-year visa extension, thank the Lord.

We had a party/fellowship at our home on a Saturday night.
Twenty-two people came, all Thai. Great food, a whole lot of
fun and laughter. We played games, everybody said a little
about themselves. We gave everyone a small present. It was a
Christmas card with a 2010 calendar and the scripture, "I am
come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me
should not abide in darkness." John 12:46.  Each card had a
little flashlight attached to it. I explained to everyone the true
meaning of Christmas and that the one true God, Jesus,
wanted to help each of them, that we lived in a dark world,
with many problems and spiritual darkness. But Jesus
wanted to be their light, so that they would not be in
darkness. It was well received. Two of them were in church
the next day. One university student told us she is tired of
being what she is and wants to change. We thank the Lord
for each heart he touched.

Enjoyed Christmas dinner with Brother & Sister Lyndon
Shalm (Regional Foreign Missions Director-Asia) and Brother
& Sister Jack Coolbaugh (Missionary-Thailand) at the
Landmark Hotel.

November 2009
We had Home Bible study in our apartment with two students
from the Asian Institute of Technology.  They are believers in
the Lord.  Taught them about baptism in Jesus' name.  Mary's
English classes continue with approx. 7 - 8 students.  Bible
study at Asian Institute of Technology.

October 2009
We continue to have monthly leadership prayer/training
sessions with the pastors and leaders of Bangkok churches.

Women's conference in Udon Thani.  Approx. 350 attendees,
65 received Holy Ghost, 18 baptized in Jesus' name.  Sister
Joni Larson was the main speaker.  Pastor James Larson,
Mary Simmons and myself also spoke.

Thai Minister's Training Seminar in Chiang Rai.  Approx. 75
attendees.  David Doan was our main speaker.  Lynden
Shalm, Jack Coolbaugh, James Larson and myself also
taught sessions.  Excellent teaching, great worship,
wonderful unity.  Many said that it was the best seminar ever.
Sister Thea interpreted at the Women's Conf. and the
Minister's Seminar, a total of 16 times.  She is a great blessing
to us and the Thai church.

Brother Doan also spoke at the Sukhumvit Thai church.
Brother Larson spoke at the Sukhumvit Filipino church and
the YinJit church.

September 2009
In September we said goodbye to a wonderful man of God.
Brother Chaiyong Wattanachant had served as the
Superintendent of Thailand ever since Brother Billy Cole
resigned as Superintendent back in the 1960's. Due to health
challenges Brother Chaiyong (they go by first names in
Thailand) resigned as Superintendent in February of this
year. This was a man that was loved by all here in Thailand.
After being converted by Brother Cole he traveled all over
Thailand preaching the gospel. Many times he would walk
several miles, climbing steep hills, to take this message to the
hill-tribe people and those living
in villages well removed from well traveled roads. He was a
very humble man. We will miss him but look forward to that
happy reunion day in heaven.

We had our first monthly Leadership meeting for Bangkok
pastors, their leaders and Bible school graduates in
Bangkok. Approx. 20 in attendance. Prayer meeting first,
followed by one hour of teaching, followed by a tremendous
move of the Spirit.

Two of Mary's English students attended church with us.

Taught three Bible studies for the Christian Fellowship at
Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok. Endtimes, Holy
Spirit baptism and Jesus' name baptism. Approx. 30 - 35 in
attendance each night. They would like us to continue on a
regular basis. Please pray, there are very hungry people in
these studies that are tired of the dry, boring stuff they
usually get.

August 2009
Ministered in Suhkumvit/Philipino, YinJit and Korat churches.
In Korat, the pastor's son and daughter-in-law quit going to
church about three months ago.  His daughter-in-law was
bitten by a cobra in her home.  They are both now back in
church.  She has been slowly recovering from the snake bite
but because of the necrosis of her flesh the doctors said she
would need surgery, skin grafting, etc.  When in Korat we had
special prayer for her.  I then told her and the church, "We
have prayed for her healing, now it's time to believe.  I don't
want anybody praying for her healing anymore.  Everyday I
want you to "praise" God for her healing.  I received an email
four days later.  The doctors examined her and told her no
surgery necessary.  She and the church are very excited
about this miracle.

July 2009
Annual vacation taken and baptized my grandson, Jacob
Erickson, while he was here on vacation.  (It was in Jesus'
name).

June 2009
Traveled to Udon for a Women's Planning meeting.  Plans for
the Fall Women's Conference were made and also preaching
services held.

Brother John Twitero, from Virginia, came and ministered in
Thailand for three weeks.  One week in Bangkok and two
weeks at the Bible School in Chiang Rai.  Brother Twitero
blessed our churches and Bible School students with his
very inspirational and practical teaching.

May 2009
Attended the marriage of our Thai National Supt's. daughter.
Approximately five hundred in attendance.

I had the privilege to preach at a leadership seminar in Phnom
Penh, Cambodia.  Missionary to Cambodia, Robert Frizzell,
arranged this seminar.  Brother Dorsey Burk from FMD and
Brother Frizzell taught classes during the morning.
Twenty-nine baptized in the name of Jesus.

Also preached at a new home church in Korat and delivered
toys to the children attending services there.  The toys were
donated by SHINE, a children's ministry at The Anchor
Church in San Diego, California.
